Yah! For forgot about the scene where Boromir dies. I'd like, just finished sniffling, when I started again cuz he died. I laugh at books all the time. I get all teary in some books. I think that the only book I ever cried at...there were probably more, but this is the only one that I can remember....was Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. At the very end where......SOMEONE dies. Iwas like and my sister was like "What's wrong?" I was like "...He just died!!!" My sister was like "Don't tell me!!" (I was reading it before she did. ^.^) Oh! The other one I can remember was Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. I think I got all teary and my head was bent over the book, so it looked like I was crying. I felt like crying because.....SOMEONE ELSE dies. So sad. I think this summer, on the long trek home from Minnesota, I might re-read the series. It's been a long time. I read them in....6th grade. It's been 3 years. Wow. I did read 3 books in little more than 3 days? It was the Dragonriders of Pern books. Like, Dragonflight and the other 2. Funfun. Mum and dad bought it for me. ^.^ BUUUUUUUUTTTT ANYWAY! ^_^

Hmmm I never cried over Harry Potter. I don't usually cry in books. I think I did in this one book I read recently called Goose Girl... the horse goes mad and they kill it. *eyes water dangerously* Sorry, everyone, it's just that horses... yeah...

my dad read it to me and my brother. i was born in socialist east germany (before that state dissolved and germany became reunited) and it was really hard to get 'western' books like LOTR. he was the first operson in our town to have it and had to wait 18 months for it. barely imaginable in the days of amazon.com lol so yeah, i remember him sitting with us at the living room table reading the part in the Prancing Pony...

Wow! I guess that should make us all stop and think about what we take for granted... I'm surprised that LOTR would have been hard to get - it's such a brilliant book.

yeah, i know...it was because the state was trying to push out anything that wasn't socialist/communist.you should see the children's books from those times...full of propaganda. but it's not like that anymore. praise the Lord for that!

wow, like Sawen said. But things that are rare are always more precious than things that are common, right? And that's good that it's no longer like that anymore. Tigerlily, I just noticed that your location says London or Germany, are you just being obscure, or do you go back and forth or something? Just curious. I've never been to Germany. ~C-elf~

i don't really know which place i like best...London's great because i have two really awesome churches i go to there, and most of my friends live there. but home's home, you know. and i'm the kind of person that really needs this sense of safety and love. so yeah, it's a tough call
