cool... what churches do you go to in London? I'm sure there is a gazillion there, but I do know of a few big ones, so I'm curious if you happen to go to one of them. ( :

I've actually heard the 'word' Hillsong so many times that I'm confused. Here, there is some christain band called 'Hillsong', and I'd heard it started in some church, maybe, but I've no clue if it was that one. You might know...?

hmm... than not band... just CDs. My mistake. As I said, I've been rather confused about them for a while. ( :
Hmm. well, I don't want this to be an uber short post, but I can't think of anything... hmm...
If someone were to give you a there-and-back plane ticket to anywhere in the world and pay for all your expenses for a week, where would you go?

that's a good question ( and by the way...hillsong confuses me, too lol) i guess generally i'd say minnesota, because that's where i lived as an aupair and i really wanna see my host family and the kids who are barely kids anymore again. haven't seen them in four years. but i think right now it would be new zealand...and no, not because of LOTR (although that's definitely a plus ;D) but because of someone who's really special to me who lives there. what about yourself? gby, tigerlily

Hillsong is a church with a band, known as Hillsong. They are based in Australia, but I believe they have many sister churches in places like England.

Cool. If I could go anywhere? Hmm... why do I ask questions I can't answer myself? It would be neet to go back to Morroco... where I grew up. But I'd really like to go somewhere new. I guess I'd like to go to Italy and Venice... cool places. Or I've always wanted to visit New Zealand or Australia. (:

Yes. Morocco.
I'd like to go to Europe, perhaps after I graduate from univ, 'ere I attempt a Masters (if that is where I am called)...I'd love to visit and see the archetecture, the history, the landscape, and see the museums and art galleries....perhaps we can go together some day Crystal...have a backpacking "getting-cultured" trip...a bunch of us. Lilias can show us around. ;D
Speaking of that kin of yours---ask her to check her email and get back to me as to when I can phone her...actually....YOU can let me know when I can phone YOU too, because it has been such a long time, and I want to know all about your grad, your plans for next year and how YOU are doing!

( : Yes, a trip together would be lovely. We really should do it.
I know you had a long chat with my sis last night--I'll have to get her to fill me in on the news. but yes, we should talk together too. I don't know when would be good for you... or me, really. ( : Just some night that I don't have a big test or project due the next day. ( : Sundays in the late afternoon and evening are sometimes good for that sort of thing. What about you? Oh, hmm... what were we talking about? Right.. most desired place to visit. Sounds like you've lived in lots of different places tigerlily!?

Well, I get back Monday (22nd)...so maybe I'll phone you some evening that week. And if it turns out you have a project or exam or something of that academic sort (or some other commitment even...I'll be lenient ), then we'll make a rain-check! I suppose I really ought to say something about this topic. I'm sorry I'm being so off topic. One place I would also really love to go to is the Sahara desert. Picture this: awake even before the Sun comes up, when it is cold and cool and one is so far from cities that there are no lights to mask those in the sky. Then, a swift, clear sunrise; the dunes are crowned with red gold and cast purple shadows, small ridges in the sand by your feet alternate gold and purple in stark, beautiful contrast. The heat is rising already, but the night breeze still hangs around just a little to whisp your hair and make you blink because your eyes are still a little frozen.........

okidoki!
Mmmmm... lovely. I wanna go!!! ( :
ack! This is a really short post.
Hmm... I just had a thought, when you posted that... what if we started a thread in which we would describe places to eachother, as if we were putting them in a story. What do you think?

That sounds like a great idea Crystal! Not only would it be a practical exercise in describing scenery....but it would be enjoyable to read AND reveal a little bit of what goes on visually in the mind of each unique person.

That sounds like a lot of fun, actually. I love doing things like that, but I figured I was just a geek for writing up all these descriptions of places - I just delete them. But sure, that could be fun. Anyone wish to start? (And, let's not do it in here. Let's give the fellows - the few of them that there are - a chance to get in on it, too!) And to answer the question... I'd either go to Germany to visit my father, or I'd to back to the UK. (can you be hopelessly in love with a location? I am...)
